How to install your mail account in Outlook?

For this tutorial to work you need to have the program MS Outlook already installed on your website. For instructions on how to get and install MS Outlook please refer to the Microsoft website and documentations.

  1. Open MS Outlook
  2. If this is the first time opening Outlook then continue at step 3. If not then please continue at step 4.
  3. In the screen that you can see now fill in your email address. Click on "Advanced Settings" and check the box that says: Let me set up my account manually. Afterwards click on Connect. Continue this tutorial at step 6.

  4. Click on "File"

  6. This will open the Outlook Mail Account Creator. You will now see this screen.

  7. Fill in your email address. Click on "Advanced options" and check the box that says: Let me set up my account manually. Afterwards click on Connect.

  8. Now select either POP or IMAP. For POP continue reading and for IMAP please skip to point 12

  9. Creation of a POP Account:
    Fill in the highlighted areas shown in the image below. Use the details you received from us. When you are finished click on "Next".

  10. Please provide your password and make sure you type it in correctly or even better yet copy/paste the password! Over 80% of the problems users encounter are directly related to typos in password fields. After providing your password click on "connect".

  11. You will receive a confirmation message like below. Decide if you want to Set up this account on Outlook Mobile on your phone. We are not going through this step by step but this should be very straightforward as you can use the same details as previously used. Refer to MS Outlook documentation for more help with this setting.
    When you are ready click on "Done".

  12. Creation of a IMAP Account:
    Fill in the highlighted areas shown in the image below. Use the details you received from us. Make sure to select the encryption method twice, once for incoming and also for outgoing.. If you receive connection errors in one of the next steps set both the encryption methods to "AUTO". When you are finished click on "Next".

  13. Please provide your password and make sure you type it in correctly or even better yet copy/paste the password! Over 80% of the problems users encounter are directly related to typos in password fields. After providing your password click on "connect".

    Did you receive a connection error? Click Go Back and change encryption for incoming and outgoing to "AUTO". Try again!

  14. You will receive a confirmation message like below. Decide if you want to Set up this account on Outlook Mobile on your phone.
